Xiu Wallops #300
|
Swinging his way into the record books, Lai-hsiang Xiu reached the 300 homer mark today at Waterfront Park against the Rubber City Rhinos. He went 1-for-3 with 1 run batted in and 1 run on the day, although Portland would go down to defeat 6-3.
"It was a distraction," Xiu said of his 300th home run. "I'm happy it's over. I just wish I'd been able to make a difference in the outcome today."
In his career Xiu has accumulated a .266 batting average with 1435 hits. His totals include 222 doubles, 13 triples, 300 home runs, 1861 strikeouts, 803 runs scored, 832 RBIs and a lifetime .355 OBP.
