The Gnats grabbed a win, 6-3, at The Pond, overcoming a fine effort from Boise pitcher Wil Cortez. Cortez went 6 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Nichols reliever Ben Bower picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Jordan Garner took the loss. Suzunosuke Date was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 8 of 9 save opportunities.

Nichols took a 5-3 lead on Jose Galvan's 55th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Galvan hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Boise pitcher Jordan Garner shaking his head.

"I know we have our doubters," said Boise manager Todd Barrett. "But I still have high hopes for this team."

The Gnats sit in 4th place in the Lyman Bostock League Earl Weaver Division with a record of 36-50.
