Winfield rode a good effort from starter Nick Buonanno to beat the New Orleans Jedi Knights at The Republic. The final score was 2-1. Buonanno picked up the win for Winfield, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 5-6. Dave Milar notched his 19th save in 21 chances.
The Warriors got a big at-bat from center fielder Victor Rosario. For the game, Rosario went 1 for 2 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Winfield a 2-0 lead.
