Burgos Helps Blizzard Run Win Streak to 3
Taos first baseman Nelson Burgos had a 4-RBI game, which helped his team beat the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 9-6. Taos reliever Paul Davis picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Rudy Brisson shouldered the loss. Taos has now won 3 in a row.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the sixth, with the game tied, Rufino Cortez was at the plate when Taos scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Blizzard to go in front, 8-6.

Blizzard manager Noriyori Shirai wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
