Hornets Turn Back Houston, 4-3
|
The Bethesda Hornets eked out a 4-3 win versus the Houston Sting at Hornets Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Eric Sauer, who captured player of the game honors. Franck Guillaume notched his 3rd save in 3 chances. The third-place Sting have dropped 4 straight games.
Stephen Wright aided the Bethesda cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the center fielder was 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Sauer.
