Cyclones Come Back Late to Clip Saints
|
Coney Island Cyclones starter Francisco Trevino was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the St. Paul Saints, 5-3. The Cyclones bumped their record to 45-38 with this latest triumph.
The Cyclones got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Taylor Allen. For the game, Allen was 1-1 with a double. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 14th double of the season gave Coney Island a 4-3 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Allen told reporters after the game.
