Multi-HR Game for Leggett in 7-3 Win
|
The Tree City Black Squirrels topped the Houston Sting, 7-3, with youngster Pete Leggett playing a key role. Leggett hit 2 home runs for the Black Squirrels in the win. Juan Bojorques got the win, improving to 5-2. He worked 5.2 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3. The Black Squirrels bumped their record to 43-40 with this latest triumph.
Nacho Cruz aided the Tree City cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the third. For the game, the center fielder went 2 for 5 with 2 singles.
"I really like what we did out there today," Cruz said after the game.
