Princes Lose Again, 4-3, to River Chiefs
|
Chippewa and Bel Air put this game in the books despite some rain.
The Chippewa River Chiefs eked out a 4-3 win versus the Bel Air Princes at The Reservation. Nobody did more than pitcher Mike Allamon, who captured player of the game honors. In 6 innings, Allamon surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run.
Willie Lorenzo's at-bat in the bottom of the seventh inning was a big one for Chippewa. Coming to bat with two out, runners on 1st and 2nd and Chippewa leading 3-1, the pinch hitter reached on an error by the P, driving in 1 run.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Chippewa manager Eric Rice.
The Princes, now 47-35, have lost 6 straight.
