Jedi Knights Drop Bush Wackers with Late Score

The New Orleans Jedi Knights downed the Brisbane Bush Wackers, 4-3, at The Republic. The Jedi Knights were led by Fernando Calvo, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-4 with 3 singles. The Jedi Knights have an impressive 50-30 record.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when right fielder Shigeaki Yoshida, who leads the LBL in stolen bases with 39, drew a walk. The Jedi Knights went on to win.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Calvo told the New Orleans Daily News.
