San Angelo got a terrific performance from pitcher Garth Bankston, but it wasn't enough to beat the Taos Blizzard. Taos won the Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium contest, 3-2. Bankston was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 9 innings allowing 3 runs. The Blizzard now have a record of 33-44.

The result might have been different for Taos, had it not been for Bob Robles. The designated hitter produced a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Blizzard ahead, 3-1. For the game, Robles had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Robles attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
