Taos got a strong outing from Jose Fernandez as the Blizzard defeated the San Angelo Mustangs, 3-2, at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. Taos is now 32-44, while San Angelo is 50-29.
The Blizzard got a big at-bat from left fielder Mike Carter. For the game, Carter went 3 for 4 with a triple and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 3rd triple of the season gave Taos a 2-1 lead.
"Feels good to get the job done," Carter said after the game.
