Dancin' Outlaws Bang Out 9-5 Win Versus St. Paul
|
It was a good time at Penlee Park, where fans came to watch the St. Paul Saints and West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws get after it.
The St. Paul Saints got a sterling performance from second baseman Phil Evans, but the Dancin' Outlaws still prevailed, 9-5. Evans was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 4 for 4 with a triple and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. Virgil Rivard converted his 4th save in 4 tries.
Jason Craig hit a 2-run triple off Ramon Romandia in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Dancin' Outlaws in front, 6-4. Craig had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 1.
Craig told the West Virginia Today: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
West Virginia is now riding a 4-game win streak.
