The Okanagan Lake Monsters got a superb performance from pitcher Tony Salas, but the Atlantic City Kings still won the game, 2-0. Salas was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. The win was Pat Hebert's in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Tony Salas took the loss for Okanagan. Tom Greer notched his 18th save in 22 chances.
Duane Diamond aided the Atlantic City cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 3.
"It was a solid team effort," said Diamond after the game.
The Kings bumped their record to 40-36 with this latest triumph.
