The Chippewa River Chiefs topped the Barrow Frosties, 2-1, in Lyman Bostock League action at The Blizzard Bowl. The player of the game was Chippewa pitcher Cesar Prado. Prado got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 3 hits and walked 0 over 5.1 innings. Prado allowed no earned runs. The River Chiefs have an impressive 53-24 record.
Victor Silva was a key contributor to the win for the River Chiefs. In the top of the seventh with two out, the light-hitting right fielder stroked a single to right. He was 1-1.
