Nichols third baseman Tsuneto Ezaki was sensational. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 times, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Eugene beat the Gnats, 6-5. Ezaki was named the player of the game despite the loss. Ángel Velázquez converted his 2nd save in 3 tries. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Eugene.
