The Sting had to overcome a fine performance from Boise pitcher Mario Michaca to grab a 2-0 win at Woodland Park. Michaca allowed 2 earned runs over 8 innings. Jeff Van Wormer was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 15 of 19 save opportunities. The Sting bumped their record to 42-35 with this latest triumph.

Logan Schoen swatted a solo home run for Houston in the bottom of the fourth. The first baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 1.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Schoen said.
