Panthers Lose, 6-2, at Baylor Ballpark
|
Brisbane starter Graham Bennett pitched effectively against the Charleston Panthers at Baylor Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a 6-2 win. The winning pitcher was Bennett, now 7-3. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 10. The Bush Wackers move to 37-39 with the win, while the Panthers drop to 32-42.
The Bush Wackers got a big at-bat from first baseman Sergio Sosa. For the game, Sosa went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Brisbane a 2-0 lead.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Sosa.
