Tight Tilt Goes to Jedi Knights, 3-2
|
The New Orleans Jedi Knights defeated the Kingwood Knights, 3-2, at Stable Park. New Orleans shortstop Flip Brekelmans was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. The Jedi Knights have an impressive 46-28 record.
David Perez aided the New Orleans cause with a 2-run double in the top of the fourth. For the game, the second baseman was 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Brekelmans told the New Orleans Daily News. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
