Black Squirrels Jolt Pelicans with Late Rally
The Tree City Black Squirrels defeated the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 9-4, at Billy Mathews Field. Tree City third baseman Nobuji Okamoto was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The Black Squirrels bumped their record to 38-37 with this latest triumph.

Mike Feiner's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a cutter from Richard Ortiz for a 2-run double. It put Tree City in front, 5-4.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Feiner.
