Black Squirrels Get One-Run Win at St. Petersburg
The 2034 season is getting ugly for St. Petersburg.

The St. Petersburg Pelicans got a superb performance from first baseman Jordan Vargas, but the Tree City Black Squirrels still won the game, 6-5. Vargas was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. Zach Faulkner notched his 3rd save in 5 chances.

Eric Price aided the Tree City cause with a 2-run single in the top of the eighth. For the game, the second baseman was 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI.

"I felt good up there," said Price. "I saw the ball well."

The Black Squirrels bumped their record to 37-37 with this latest triumph.
