Beavers Score Late to Upend Rhinos, 6-4
|
The Portland Beavers got a rain-soaked win over the Rubber City Rhinos at The Rubber Grounds.
Despite a great performance by Rubber City third baseman Avatsara Sangameswar, the Portland Beavers defeated the Rhinos by the score of 6-4 at The Rubber Grounds. Sangameswar went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win boosts the Beavers to 29-28. The loss puts the Rhinos at 26-31.
Vihaan Vedant chipped in for Portland with a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Vedant told the Portland Daily.
