Late Rally by Cyclones Secures Win
|
It was a good time at Coney Island Coliseum, where fans came to watch the Boise Bloodhounds and Coney Island Cyclones get after it.
Starting pitcher Mike Tyson pitched well enough to help the Coney Island Cyclones beat the Boise Bloodhounds by the score of 4-3. The win boosts the Cyclones to 41-30. The loss puts the Bloodhounds at 25-47.
The Cyclones were down to their last out in the bottom of the seventh when pinch hitter Lloyd Noland turned a first pitch fastball from Francisco Valenzuela into a 2-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Coney Island a thrilling 4-3 win.
Boise manager Todd Barrett said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
