|
Westside pitcher Jonathan Repasy did his part in helping his team beat the Taos Blizzard, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 6.1 innings, Repasy surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs. Jesse Corson was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities.
The Road Warriors got a big at-bat from catcher Francisco Hernández. For the game, Hernández was 3 for 3 with 3 singles. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 51st hit of the season gave Westside a 4-3 lead.
"Jonathan's tempo and rhythm were good," said Road Warriors manager Wilfred Brooks. "He was the key to us winning."
Westside now sits in second place in the Donnie Moore League Tommy Lasorda Division at 38-33.
