Sting Score Late to Upend Pelicans, 5-4

The 2034 season is getting ugly for St. Petersburg.
Jordan Vargas did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the St. Petersburg Pelicans from losing, 5-4, to the Houston Sting at Billy Mathews Field. Vargas was 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. Hyun-soo Huh, credited with the win, is now 3-0. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 2 innings.
The Sting got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Jamie Milligan. For the game, Milligan went 1 for 1. In the top of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 37th hit of the season gave Houston a 5-4 lead.
