Lake Monsters Drop Jedi Knights with Late Score
The Okanagan Lake Monsters did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the New Orleans Jedi Knights at Elks Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Barney Archer, who captured player of the game honors. Dusty Mast was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 18 of 19 save opportunities. The win boosts the Lake Monsters to 36-33. The loss puts the Jedi Knights at 43-26.

Okanagan took a 3-2 lead on Miguel Delcueto's 10th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Delcueto hit in the bottom of the eighth, left New Orleans pitcher Pete Murphy shaking his head.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said New Orleans manager Phillip Smith. "But we decided not to take it."
