Hawaii left fielder Doug Sanders had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 5-2 win over the Santa Fe Fuego. Bernalldo Rocchi converted his 13th save in 13 tries. The Islanders bumped their record to 34-23 with this latest triumph.

Sanders contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Hawaii in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Sanders took a fastball from Oliver Romero and stroked the home run to right. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Islanders to leap in front, 3-1.

Sanders called the win "a collective effort."
