Danny Lowe made an impact in the 5-2 Tree City win over Taos. Lowe, who is tied for 8th in the DML in triples with 3, went 3-4 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The 5th-place Black Squirrels improved to 34-35.
With Tree City leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Lowe hit a slider from Mario Calderon for a 2-run single. It was his 50th hit of the season and put the Black Squirrels ahead, 4-0.
Lowe attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
