Atlantic City second baseman Bob Hern had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Hern was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, even as Barrow beat the Kings, 5-2. Hern was named the player of the game despite the loss. Reliever Ken Ducklow picked up the win. His record improves to 3-2. Jeremy Jefferson took the loss. Alex Rosario notched his 12th save in 13 chances.

The Frosties got a big at-bat from right fielder Mike Aguilar. For the game, Aguilar was 1-3 with a walk. In the top of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 28th hit of the season gave Barrow a 1-0 lead.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Aguilar told a Barrow Daily News reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."

The Frosties saw their record improve to 30-38.
