Jedi Knights Subdue San Angelo, 3-2
|
New Orleans Jedi Knights starter Jonathan Pickard turned in a top-notch performance against the San Angelo Mustangs at The Republic. The result was a win for the Jedi Knights, 3-2. Bobby Wallace was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 3 save opportunities. The Jedi Knights bumped their record to 39-23 with this latest triumph.
Kuniyasu Sato drove in one run for New Orleans. The 24-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off John Hensley. It was his 15th RBI of the season.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Pickard said.
