The San Angelo Mustangs picked up a win at The Republic, knocking off the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 2-0. Starting pitcher Gabriel Mullin, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The Mustangs have an impressive 44-18 record.

Mullin tossed 104 pitches over 8 innings to clinch the win for the Mustangs. The right-hander allowed just 5 hits, while racking up 10 strikeouts in the game.

"Got a lot of swings and misses today," said Mullin.
