With second baseman David Perez leading the charge, the New Orleans Jedi Knights defeated the San Angelo Mustangs, 6-2, at The Republic. Perez went 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. New Orleans reliever George McCurry was credited with the win, to go to 6-0. Alex Acevedo took the loss for San Angelo. The Jedi Knights own a robust 38-22 mark.

The Jedi Knights got a big at-bat from center fielder Shigeaki Yoshida. For the game, Yoshida was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 10th home run of the season gave New Orleans a 2-0 lead.
