The Blizzard had to overcome a good performance from Barrow pitcher Jose Rios to claim a 2-1 win at The Igloo. Rios went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Taos reliever Manny Becerra was credited with the win, to go to 2-2. Jimmy Martin took the loss for Barrow. The Frosties, now 28-35, have lost 5 straight.

Taos took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, third baseman Hyung-hwa Choi hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"I like the roll we're on," said Taos manager Noriyori Shirai.
