The Bel Air Princes powered past the Tree City Black Squirrels, 8-6, at The Nut House. Wayne Steiert was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs, to lead the charge. Fernando Buzo picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-0. He struck out 3 in 5 innings. The Princes bumped their record to 34-26 with this latest triumph.
Mike Flowers aided the Bel Air cause with a 2-run single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the second baseman was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs.
"It makes it a little nicer in the clubhouse when we win," said Flowers. "It eases the tension."
