Fuego Lose, 5-4, at Aloha Stadium

Hawaii withstood an impressive performance by Santa Fe catcher Matt Clark to defeat the Fuego, 5-4, at Aloha Stadium. Clark slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Reliever Keith Martin picked up the win. His record improves to 3-2. Clint Taurus took the loss. David Lidstone converted his 1st save in 1 tries.
Douglas Dannattet drove in one run for Hawaii. The 30-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Austin Price. It was his 16th RBI of the season.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Dannattet. "And not try to do too much."
The Islanders bumped their record to 33-23 with this latest triumph.
