Dancin' Outlaws Rally to Eke Out Win
|
West Virginia pitcher Juan Robles did his part in helping his team beat the Barrow Frosties, 3-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. John Swope picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Alex Rosario was tagged with the loss. West Virginia is now riding a 4-game win streak.
The game was at a stalemate until third baseman José Hinojosa came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Barrow pitcher Alex Rosario, he hit a 3-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting West Virginia on top, 3-2.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Hinojosa told the West Virginia Today.
