Mustangs Walk Off with 7-5 Win
|
The Mile High Mustangs racked up a win at McNichols Stadium, bumping off the Eureka Hornets, 7-5. James Jostle, who started for Mile High, pitched effectively for his team. Reliever Quan Que picked up the win. His record improves to 2-2. Alim bin Umar took the loss. Mile High currently is in 4th place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division at 27-29.
The Mustangs were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when first baseman Adam Hounsell turned a 1-2 sinker from Alim bin Umar into a 3-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Mile High a thrilling 7-5 win.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Jostle.
