Bush Wackers Get One-Run Win at Taos
|
Brisbane pitcher Graham Bennett did his part in helping his team beat the Taos Blizzard, 2-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Jose Laracuente locked down his 11th save. Brisbane has now won 3 in a row.
The Bush Wackers got a big at-bat from left fielder Jayden Smith. For the game, Smith went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Brisbane a 2-1 lead.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Taos skipper Noriyori Shirai, "and it cost us."
