Kingwood right-hander Rubén Villalobos made an effective start against the Okanagan Lake Monsters at Elks Stadium, leading his team to a 3-1 win. Had Paul Dannemiller not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Dannemiller hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Knights.
