Frosties Lose, 1-0, at Baylor Ballpark
|
The umbrellas came out during the Brisbane-Barrow contest at Baylor Ballpark.
The Barrow Frosties got a sterling performance from pitcher Chris Webb, but the Bush Wackers still prevailed, 1-0. Webb was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 5 innings of shutout ball. The winner was Brisbane reliever Teddy Higuera, now 2-2. The loser was Jon Chase.
The Bush Wackers got a big at-bat from right fielder Qing-nian Hsu. For the game, Hsu was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Brisbane a 1-0 lead.
"Losing is easy," said Hsu. "Winning is hard."
The Bush Wackers saw their record improve to 26-29.
