Victory Pushes Saints Record to 27-26
|
St. Paul right-hander Cheng-ji Guan made an effective start against the Coney Island Cyclones at Coney Island Coliseum, leading his team to a 1-0 win. Aaron Burrell picked up the save for St. Paul, his 8th of the year. The Saints bumped their record to 27-26 with this latest triumph.
The Saints got a big at-bat from right fielder Vinny Tarin. For the game, Tarin went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. In the top of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 5th home run of the season gave St. Paul a 1-0 lead.
"It's a mindset," said Guan. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
