The Saints had to overcome a fine performance from Barrow pitcher Bob Tamez to grab a 2-1 win at The Blizzard Bowl. Tamez allowed no earned runs over 5.1 innings. The Saints bumped their record to 26-24 with this latest triumph.
A.J. Attwood had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the seventh for the Saints. Coming up with a runner on 1st and St. Paul trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Attwood said after the game.
