Mustangs Win at Westside, 3-1
|
The San Angelo Mustangs picked up a win at Road Warriors Field, knocking off the Westside Road Warriors, 3-1. Starting pitcher Alex Acevedo was an essential part of his team's success. Acevedo went 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 6-1. San Angelo now has a 6-game win streak.
Kyle Higgins, who is tied for 3rd in the LBL in RBI with 32, aided the San Angelo cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth. For the game, the catcher was 1 for 3 with a walk.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Acevedo said after the game.
