Ortiz K's 13 En Route to 6-1 Emeralds Win

The Eugene Emeralds picked up a win at Prefontaine Park, knocking off the Victoria Vikings, 6-1. On the mound for Eugene was left-hander Elias Ortiz, who played a pivotal role in the win. Eugene has now won 3 in a row.
The Vikings had little chance against Ortiz, who overpowered Victoria hitters and struck out 13.
"Enjoyed this one," Ortiz told the Eugene Observer. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
