Blazers Win at Vancouver, 7-3
|
The Bloomington Blazers trumped the Vancouver Pioneers, 7-3, at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. Bloomington right fielder Sean Clark was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Pedro Vazquez, credited with the win, is now 5-1. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 8.1 innings. Paco Berroa picked up the save for Bloomington, his 17th of the year.
Clark contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Bloomington in the top of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Clark took a fastball from Dan Miscavage and stroked the home run to right. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Blazers to leap in front, 3-1.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Clark said after the game.
The Blazers bumped their record to 30-23 with this latest triumph.
