Knights Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
The Kingwood Knights topped the Tree City Black Squirrels, 6-3, in Lyman Bostock League action at The Nut House. The player of the game was Kingwood pitcher and Santa Clara, Cuba native Ruben Luna. Kingwood reliever Dylan Thompkins got the win, raising his record to 1-3. Chris Long was tagged with the loss. The Knights bumped their record to 25-23 with this latest triumph.
The most important at-bat for Kingwood came in the top of the tenth inning. With two out, Antonio Torres reached on an error by the left fielder, driving in 1 run, putting Kingwood up, 4-3.
"We did a lot of things right," said Torres.
