|
The Bel Air Princes topped the Nichols Gnats, 5-0, in Donnie Moore League action at Philip Banks Field. The player of the game was Bel Air pitcher and Baní, Dominican Republic native Fernando Buzo. In 8.1 innings, Buzo surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The Princes bumped their record to 28-22 with this latest triumph.
Wayne Steiert swatted a 2-run double for Bel Air in the bottom of the sixth. The right fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 4.
