The Okanagan Lake Monsters trumped the Taos Blizzard, 7-6, at The Igloo. Okanagan designated hitter Johnny Medina was named player of the game for his performance. He went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Shi-xian Ouyang earned the win to go to 4-2. He allowed 3 earned runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. The Lake Monsters bumped their record to 27-21 with this latest triumph.

Medina had a game-changing double in the top of the sixth. On a 2-1 changeup from Joe Manfredi, he banged a run-scoring double to left, giving the Lake Monsters a 4-3 lead. It was the 5th double of the year for Medina.

Medina told a Okanagan Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
