Jedi Knights Stymie Westside, Take 3-1 Win
|
In a tight game between the New Orleans Jedi Knights and the Westside Road Warriors, pitcher Arturo Corona was terrific on the mound. The New Orleans left-hander was named the player of the game in New Orleans's 3-1 win. Juan Ayala closed it out for his 12th save. The Jedi Knights bumped their record to 31-15 with this latest triumph.
Sergio Arredondo, who is tied for 7th in the LBL in doubles with 11, aided the New Orleans cause with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the bottom of the third. For the game, the right fielder drove in one run.
Arredondo called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
