The Eugene Emeralds topped the Bethesda Hornets, 5-2, in Donnie Moore League action at Hornets Field. The player of the game was Eugene pitcher and Jecheon, South Korea native Jung-sang Lee. Cody Mason was credited with the save for Eugene, his 5th of the season. Eugene, now 20-23, holds last place in the Donnie Moore League Tommy Lasorda Division.
Tal-hun Kug, who is tied for 5th in the DML in doubles with 9, aided the Eugene cause with a 2-run single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Eugene manager Ricardo Martínez. "It's usually not just one thing."
