Atlantic City pitcher Sergio García gave the Frosties all they could handle, but in the end, Barrow left The Blizzard Bowl with a 2-0 win. García allowed no earned runs on 2 hits over 5 innings. Bob Tamez was the winning pitcher. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed no runs on 2 hits, with 6 walks and 3 strikeouts. Alex Rosario earned his 5th save in 6 tries.
The Frosties got a big at-bat from center fielder Youp van den Eijnden. For the game, van den Eijnden went 1 for 4 with a triple. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 6th triple of the season gave Barrow a 1-0 lead.
van den Eijnden said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
The Frosties are now 19-24, while the Kings fall to 20-21.
